Hi [FIRSTNAME]
CBN and lead sponsor Alcatel-Lucent, together with host sponsors Manchester Digital Development Association (MDDA), Gateshead Council, Connected Nottingham, Connecting Bristol, Walsall Regeneration Company and eHampshire is organising a series of “roadshows” on Next Generation Access (NGA) on the theme “yes we can”. The roadshows will explain NGA and help local authorities, businesses and economic development organisations present the business case for public sector and RDA leadership and involvement. I am pleased to announce that the first in this series of nationwide events is kicking off on the 24th of February at the offices of MDDA in Portland Street, Manchester. Registrations are now open and I would like to invite you to one of these informative and practical events. You can register here Local initiatives leading the wayNext Generation Access through good fibre infrastructure and in particular open access networks will benefit businesses, consumers and the economy as a whole. It can stimulate inward investment and innovation, lead to education growth and enable skill retention. Each local host will discuss their latest plans for the region on NGA. During the day you will also hear what the government’s take is, why it is seemingly such a slow development in the UK compared to other countries and what you can do to help speed up this process and benefit from it. The Communications Consumer Panel will present their latest report on where NGA is happening. CBN will discuss some of the technical aspects and Adroit economics will set out how to make a business case for NGA. You can book online here
